As often happens after a difficult moment from a sporting point of view, when faced with a lot of criticism the media and fans, the most important figures step up to defend the team and attempt to keep the group united, with the hope of overcoming the obstacles. The performance in the 2022 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring racetrack in Mogyorod, near Budapest, was a sporting disaster Scuderia Ferrari: starting from second and third position in the last race until the summer team, the Maranello team looked set to take the race win with Charles Leclerc and a podium finish for Carlos Sainz, but in the end had to settle just for a fourth and a sixth place.
There was hope a one-two finish at the Hungaroring racetrack ahead of the weekend, but eventually Scuderia Ferrari left Budapest without even a podium. And now in Maranello they are trying to heal their wounds as quickly as possible, also because there are still nine races to go until the end of the 2022 Formula 1 season, in which it is difficult it believe in a miraculous recovery against Red Bull, but even so, the Italian side has the duty of fighting for the race win in each of the remaining events.
Italian physicist and businessman Benedetto Vigna, the chief executive officer of Ferrari, during his presentation of the accounts for the second quarter of Ferrari’s 2022, also made a short reference to the Scuderia: “Formula 1 is in our DNA”, – he said, according to Ansa – “We have to pay attention to all the details, races like this have to represent a continuous opportunity to learn and we will continue to fight for the title” – Benedetto Vigna said.
