Presenting a digital dialog with Rebecca Lyon, Jaime Smallboy, and Aleen Sparrow on “unraveling colonial threads.” Colonialism is deeply embedded in our methods. Be a part of us as we hear from three Indigenous ladies artists as they discuss to us about what it means to “unravel” these colonial threads. Via their work, they’re reconnecting to their Indigenous identities and utilizing their voices to boost consciousness to racism and lateral violence that stems from colonization. This dialog goals to carry consciousness to how we will proceed to coach ourselves on the impacts of colonization throughout Indigenous Peoples month and past.
